You wouldn’t put a toilet seat cover on your desk chair would you?
Perhaps you should start, according to a new ‘germ’ study conducted by UK-based Cleaning Services Group.
The average work desk is actually 400 times dirtier than the average toilet seat. The truth is that offices have some pretty gnarly germ ‘zones’ in places one would never suspect.
Here are some eye opening highlights of the report:
- A typical office worker’s hands come into contact with 10 million bacteria per day
- 1 in 3 workers admit to not washing their hands after using the toilet
- 30% of workers don’t use soap when they wash their hands
- A typical desk is 100 times less hygienic than the average kitchen table
