Going East transformed a 170-year-old hospital building into a coworking space that resembles Italian palazzos.

170-Year-Old Hospital Is Turned into Coworking

The Spaces reported this week that the “170-year-old Prinsengracht Hospital in Amsterdam has been reborn as a coworking space.” The hospital has completed a complete renovation and it is now the first Fosbury & Sons’ first coworking location outside of Belgium. Going East was in charge of overhauling the building’s interiors, which now resembles a feeling of an Italian palazzo. 

CBRE’s Hana Opens First Location in New York

Bisnow reported this week that CBRE’s coworking arm, Hana, will open its first New York City location at 3 World Trade Center. Hana signed a management deal with Silverstein Properties and  will take up two floors of the 1,079-foot-tall building. The coworking brand will manage 85K square feet, 5K square feet of which will be used for Hana’s headquarters. Speaking about the location, Hana CEO Andrew Kupiec stated that “The Financial District stood out to us as an area that has been revitalized and a place where high-growth industries like technology firms are moving.”

WeWork India Set to Expand Operations

While its US counterpart continues to battle the ramifications of its failed IPO, WeWork India is reportedly expanding its operations in Mumbai and Bengaluru. Inc42 reported this week that WeWork India has leased out 1.15 hundred thousand square feet to develop new offices, specifically three in Bengaluru, two in Hyderabad, and one in Noida. The WeWork franchise also recently set up a coworking space at Nesco IT Park in Mumbai, which has a capacity of 3,400 desks.
