WeWork is launching its own cafe and marketplace in New York’s Flatiron neighborhood under the company’s Made by We retail sector.

Hotels are beginning to delve into the massive world of coworking spaces by offering a little more than your traditional hotel business centers.
These spaces have a more collaborative, productive feel and are particularly useful for younger professionals on-the-go, who often find lobbies to be distracting.
One example of hotels moving in this direction is The AC Hotel Phoenix Biltmore. It offers an outdoor lounge with over 5,000 square feet of space, complete with a large communal table and a 20-seat high table that is a working area by day and a bar by night.
Hotels hope to build loyalty with their guests by providing these coworking spaces.
“These spaces are often sleek looking and help raise a hotel’s profile,” said Adam Weissenberg, head of travel, hospitality and leisure at Deloitte. “They’re not going to lose money from them because anyone who uses them is likely to hang out at the hotel when they’re done working and order drinks or food.”
Additionally, the Revolution Hotel and other hotels offer non-guests access to their coworking amenities, charging $20 a day for its shared space, Conspire.
