Hot off the back of their latest acquisition of Abby Executive Suites, Regus has ploughed ahead with another big-name merger: Avanta.
Richard Morris, CEO UK, Regus, has made an official statement:
“I am delighted to welcome the customers and employees of Avanta to Regus. Combining the two businesses gives us a network of 320 locations across 50 cities in the UK, providing our many thousands of customers with the very best places to work and be more successful.”
The move brings Avanta’s portfolio, the majority of which is based in Central and Greater London, to Regus UK’s already large-scale presence in the capital.
Regus currently operates over 100 locations across Greater London, including its latest centre at The News Building in London Bridge, and this announcement brings another 30 of Avanta’s London offices under the Regus remit.
Avanta was formed in 2004 as Avanta Managed Offices Ltd and in July 2013 it was acquired by the AIM-listed company, Serviced Office Group Plc. This led the combined organisation to become the UK’s second largest provider of office space by workstation, behind only Regus.
In March 2015 it was announced that the recently acquired Evans Easyspace would depart the Regus portfolio, leaving room for a further 400 new locations in 2015. Both Abby’s and Avanta’s portfolio adds a sizeable amount to Regus’ wishlist, but there is still room for more, and we’re barely into the second quarter of 2015. Where will Regus turn next?
More information will be supplied as it becomes available.
