Candy Woodington, Operations Director at Clarendon Business Centres, tells OT what’s coming next after acquiring London workspace company, Reflex Managed Offices.

Clarendon Business Centres, a UK serviced office company based in London and the South East, finished 2015 on a high with the acquisition of established workspace operator Reflex Managed Offices. The deal more than doubled Clarendon’s portfolio virtually overnight, boosting the company’s flexible workspace footprint from 12 to a sizeable 28.

Given that all of Reflex’s locations are based in Central London, it dramatically expands Clarendon’s presence in the capital which, according to Operations Director Candy Woodington, is a sign of things to come.

“We are very focused on Central London and we’re always looking for opportunities,” Candy said, explaining that London is a key area of focus for Clarendon with further expansion remaining “high on the agenda” for 2016. “Reflex Managed Offices is a strong brand with a very good reputation, which presented an exciting opportunity for us.”

Asked about plans to refurbish the new locations, Candy explained that she is currently working with members of the Reflex team to become better acquainted with each building and its individual characteristics.

“We want to stay true to each location,” she said. “There is no one-size-fits-all approach, each building has its own style and appeal so we are working closely with Reflex and looking at each property individually.”

Candy describes the next steps as “business as usual” for staff and clients. “We will continue to operate and enhance these centres under the Reflex brand. We are very excited to include the Reflex properties, staff and clients as part of our growing portfolio.”

As reported in December, Julian Cooper, Managing Director of Clarendon Business Centres commented on the acquisition as “a major foothold” for Clarendon in the Central London market, “a market in which we expect to continue to expand and in which we will be seeking more exciting opportunities.”
