In a move to simplify business networking, LinkedIn is rolling out a new version of its profile pages. The profiles are more visual, with bigger pictures and tools that make it easier to edit and display the latest activity at the top.
“LinkedIn is about connecting talent with opportunity at massive scale. We’re not just talking about the tools to enable people to find their dream jobs. We’re also talking about tools that enable people to be great at the jobs that they already have,” said CEO Jeff Weiner during a press event.
“Our exclusive focus is professionals. Over time, what we’ve seen is that there’s really only a handful of companies in the world that connect hundreds of millions, if not billions, of people in milliseconds. There’s only one social platform, LinkedIn, that has that exclusive focus on a professional context.”
