Chicago-based shared workspace operator, Novel Coworking, has announce plans to open a fifth location in the city.
The company has acquired a space in the city’s River North district and will turn it into a modern coworking space. Since its debut in 2013, Novel Coworking manages 27 locations in 20 cities, including Boulder, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Phoenix, Seattle, and more.
Pre-leasing of private offices and coworking memberships has already begun. Amenities will include 24 hour access, fast internet, an espresso bar, draught beer, and access to networking events. In addition to all these conveniences, members will have access to Novel Coworking’s 20 other locations in the city.
The 50,400 square foot location was built in 2001 and is 7 stories high and located on 405 W. Superior Street. It also includes a 1,600 square feet of retail space and is located just ¼ miles from public transportation, as well as being adjacent to Novel Coworking’s other River North location on 420 W. Huron Street.
“We continue to see tremendous demand in Chicago from professional service firms and enterprise companies seeking flexible and affordable workspace,” Bill Bennett, founder of Novel Coworking, said in a statement. “Novel’s office suites have been especially well received by firms with 10-150 employees that outgrow WeWork, Industrious, Regus, and 1871, as we are able to provide flexible terms on move-in ready suites with a range of sizes that grow with companies.”
