Hong-Kong based coworking firm Garage Society took inspiration from the world’s largest companies that started in garages, such as Amazon, Apple, Google, and Disney, when it launched its services in 2014.
Now, the company has expanded its services across multiple Asian countries like Thailand, Cambodia, and more recently India.
Founder Elaine Tsung said that India’s energetic atmosphere fueled the company’s decision to make it their next key strategic market.
“The experience so far has been more than amazing. With the help of Prashant Garg, our general manager in India, we have built an outstanding team,” said Tsung. “Our first site was launched in November last year and we have just opened more in Gurugram. All of our sites are now 100 percent occupied.”
Despite the Indian market being filled to the brim with other foreign and local coworking firms, Tsung believes that the company’s emphasis on community and “customer-centric approach” allows it to stand out from the crowd
Garage Society also features initiatives such as Garage Academy, events and training arm Garage Recruit, and its charitable arm Garage Gives Back.
