Carlsbad-based coworking company CommonGrounds has signed a 10-year lease at Seattle’s Dexter Building.
The operator, which has eight locations across the country, will take up 31,781 square feet of space to accommodate 400 members and is expected to open in April 2020 following a $100 million Series A funding round.
The new location is just across the street from Facebook’s Seattle office and surrounded by other major tech companies such as Google and Amazon.
“This type of atmosphere attracts some of the best and brightest,” said Jacob Bates, CEO of CommonGrounds. “Our Workplace-as-a-Service platform will allow companies to be in immediate proximity to these and other enterprise companies to attract and retain talent.”
