Regus has announced it will open 3,000 of its workspaces for free to allow people to work closer to wherever they are during the holidays.
The company is encouraging the global workforce to work flexibly from December 16 to January 5.
“The festive season is a time to spend with loved ones and a lot of people have to travel long distances to enjoy those precious moments,” said Mark Dixon, CEO at Regus’ parent company IWG. “Despite the boom in flexible working, some businesses still expect their employees to work from a central office right up to the holidays.”
Dixon said that this move is an effort to make things less hectic for people and allow them to enjoy a slightly less stressful holiday season.
