Coworking company Spaces is gearing up to take over three floors of the Western Reserve Building in downtown Cleveland’s Warehouse District.
While the company has locations in Columbus and Cincinnati, this space will be it’s first in Cleveland.
“Bringing a company likes Spaces into the building immediately changes the narrative; we’re hopeful that other companies see the value this new amenity brings and inspires other tech companies and innovators to want to be a part of the community,” said Fred Geis, a local real-estate developer who is part of the building’s current ownership group. “We expect big things to come.”
Rico Pietro, a principal at Cushman & Wakefield, said that this new location will allow companies from out of town to test the Cleveland market before buying their own real estate in the city.
The addition of Spaces will bring the Western Reserve Building to about 75% occupancy according to Pietro, and the owners are hoping for about 90% occupancy by the end of Q1 2020.
