CBRE is partnering up with the owner of the 1818 Market Street office tower in Philadelphia, Shorenstein Properties, to create shared workspace across two of the building’s 37 stories.
The 50,000 square foot coworking space will open under CBRE’s coworking branch Hana during the last three months of 2020. It is the firm’s seventh location and first in the northeastern U.S.
Currently, Hana has locations in Dallas and London, with new spaces on the way in Irvine, CA and Arlington, AV.
“We’ve looked at this as an opportunity to get in early and work with Shorenstein and expand in their portfolio,” said Andrew Kupiec, chief executive of Hana.
Hana differs from other Philadelphia location in that it uses a landlord partnership model that Kupiec describes as “a more secure, overall more transparent model.”
