Flexible workspace provider The Executive Centre will expand its presence in India by adding 250,000 square feet of space this year, leading it to a footprint of 1 million square feet in the country.
The company will add 100,000 square feet in Bengaluru alone. It will also add space in cities such as Gurgaon, Pune, Chennai, Mumbai and Hyderabad.
Since entering India’s flexible office market in 2008, The Executive Centre has expanded its footprint in India to 800,000 square feet across 28 locations in seven cities.
“Due to economic slowdown, many corporates have slowed down on the expansion of their own campuses and instead they are opting to grow in a flexible office space like TEC,” said Neha Verma, Regional Marketing Manager at TEC India, Sri Lanka and the Middle East.
Verma said that the coworking sector has grown from 0.5% of total office leasing in 2008, to 17% in 2019, and believes TEC will have a growth of 30% in India this year.
The Executive Centre’s facilities offer members enterprise solutions, private workspaces, virtual offices, coworking areas, meeting and conference rooms, video conferencing and much more.
