Dan Teran, co-founder of Managed by Q, was recently in talks to buy his company back from WeWork, but those talks have since fallen apart according to Bloomberg.
WeWork acquired the office management technology company in April 2019 for $220 million. Teran and investors were seeking to purchase back the company for less than $55 million.
The startup was going to be sold to competitor Eden Technologies, but the final purchase price was higher than Teran and investors wanted to pay.
Managed by Q was part of an acquisition spree that former CEO Adam Neumann went on. Now, the company has unloaded its investments and acquisitions from companies such as female-oriented shared workspace The Wing, office space technology company Teem and marketing software startup Conductor.
