Advertising Disclosure and Prohibited Content

The purpose of these policies is to provide guidance on the types of advertising content that are allowed on the Allwork.Space website and other digital properties, including the Future of Work Podcast. These policies are designed to not only abide by laws, but to also ensure a safe and positive experience for our users. While these policies are meant to guide decisions on which advertisements are acceptable, each ad will be judged individually on how it impacts the Allwork.Space brand, and therefore can be denied even if the ad does not technically qualify as prohibited content or content subject to further review. At any time, Allwork.Space reserves the right to accept or reject advertising for any product or service submitted for publication and to remove advertising that has been posted.

Disclosing sponsored content:

All articles that are sponsored will be marked as such. Each article will indicate the article is sponsored by [the name of your company].

We also abide by local copyright laws and protect the rights of copyright holders, so we don’t allow content that is unauthorized to use copyrighted content.

Outside of the prohibited content listed below, we also do not accept:

  • Content written to be critical of other individuals or companies. The purpose of sponsored content is to promote a product or service, or profile an individual. Any content that is written solely for the purpose of criticizing others will not be accepted.
  • Content that is misogynistic, racist, homophobic, or derogatory.

  • Counterfeit Goods
    • ✘ Counterfeits and fakes
      • Advertising for counterfeits, fake goods, or bootleg productions
      • Counterfeit goods are goods, including digital goods, that are promoted, sold, or otherwise distributed using a trademark or brand that is identical to, or substantially similar to, the trademark or brand of another, without authorization from the trademark or brand owner
    • ✘ False or misleading reference to Allwork.Space or any of our affiliates
  • Credit-related advertising
    • ✘ Content targeting people with low credit scores or bad credit; No credit, low credit loans, payday loans, cash advance services
  • Dangerous Products or Services
    • ✘ Guns, firearms, fireworks, and other explosives
  • Dating
  • Discriminatory Practices
    • ✘ Hate content
    • ✘ Racial, gender, and other discrimination
  • Drugs and paraphernalia
  • Enabling Dishonest Behavior
    • ✘ Products or services that bypass copyright protection
    • ✘ Non-accredited universities or programs
    • ✘ Products and services of questionable legality
    • ✘ Advertising that contains spyware, malware, or any software that results in an unexpected or deceptive experience, including links to sites containing these products
    • ✘ Advertising for products or services that enable a user to gain unauthorized access or make unauthorized changes to systems, devices, or property, such as hacking services, stealing cable, radar jammers, changing traffic signals, and phone or wiretapping devices
  • False or Misleading Claims
    • ✘ False or misleading claims relating to the effectiveness or characteristics of a product or service
    • ✘ Unsubstantiated claims
    • ✘ False or misleading health claims
    • ✘ Claims of unrealistic results within specific timeframes
    • ✘ Collecting donations under false pretenses
    • ✘ “Phishing” or falsely purporting to be a reputable company in order to get users to provide valuable personal or financial information
    • ✘ Making offers that aren’t actually available
    • ✘ Omitting or obscuring billing details such as how, what, and when users will be charged
    • ✘ Omitting or obscuring charges associated with financial services such as interest rates, fees, and penalties
  • Financial Services > Some Cryptocurrency Advertising Prohibited
    • ✘ Ads for Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs) or ICO pre-sales, unless the ICO has been registered with the SEC or is being offered under an exception
    • ✘ Decentralized Finance (DeFi) trading protocols, including ads to purchase membership in a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO)
    • ✘ Offer to purchase, sell, or trade cryptocurrencies
      • Offer to purchase, sell, or trade related products such as binary options, contracts for difference, or any derivative crypto product
  • Gambling
  • Inappropriate Content
    • ✘ Advertising that promotes or displays violence, crime, obscenity, other forms of anti-social behavior, or is otherwise not in good taste
    • ✘ Advertising that contains defamatory, libelous, or threatening content or language
    • ✘ Advertising that contains potentially offensive content or language
    • ✘ Advertising that contains personal attacks, demeaning or inflammatory content, profanity, or vulgarity
  • Litigation
    • ✘ Solicitations for lawsuits, including class action lawsuits
  • Political content
  • Religion
    • ✘ Religion and religious views, events, activity, houses, organizations, etc.
  • Sensationalism
    • ✘ Sensationalistic subjects and content
      • Advertising that attempts to get users to click by appealing to their curiosity, including ads that center around sensationalistic subjects (such as celebrity arrests, deaths, or divorces) or aim for shock value (e.g., fake news)
  • Tobacco Related Products

Content Subject to Further Review

The following advertising or sponsored content most likely can be published on Allwork.Space, but with limitations due to legal, regulatory, and/or branding concerns.

  • Environmental Claims
  • Financial Services
    • ✔ Advertising for banking services, brokerage services, loan products and services, and similar services or investments, provided that all appropriate and material restrictions, risk factors, and qualifications are disclosed, and that the advertising conforms to all applicable laws
    • !   Whenever advertising includes prior investment results, a statement should be included that past results are not an indication or guarantee of similar results in the future
    • !   Online investment services must disclose material restrictions unique to their product or service (e.g., that response times for executing orders may depend on market or other conditions)
    • ✘ Predictions about future investment results are not permitted
  • Financial Services > Cryptocurrency
  • Healthcare
  • Sweepstakes and Contests
    • ✔   Sweepstakes and contests
      • !   Advertising for sweepstakes, contests, and other similar promotions will be considered on a case-by-case basis
      • !   Complete details, including the final official rules, must be submitted
      • !   Advertisers are responsible for all aspects of the promotion
      • !   Rules must clearly indicate that the promotion is not affiliated with Allwork.Space
    • ✘    Illegal lotteries

Our Editorial Process & Ownership 

The process goes something like this 

  1. You submit your completed draft through the online form; this is the only accepted method to submit articles 
  2. We review your submission (This can take up to 10 business days, please be patient.) 
  3. You will receive notice of our decision to publish your submission as a contribution (free of charge) or offer you a paid solution instead. 

Acceptable file formats: Send completed drafts as a Word attachment or as a Google doc link. If submitting via Google docs, ensure that it is accessible by anyone and has Edit permission enabled. Please include an author bio (60-100 words) when submitting a piece to Allwork.Space. 

Editorial revisions are part of the process; we may ask for edits, additions, or clarifications. We do not share edits or revisions with authors prior to publication. 

If we choose to publish your article: 

  • All articles are subject to editing. 
  • Headlines and subheads are subject to change. 
  • Content may be edited for style, tone, or substance. 
  • Links may be added for context. 
  • Art will be added at the discretion of Allwork.Space. 
  • Articles may or may not be promoted across Allwork.Space’s media outlets, on our home page, in our newsletters, and via our social feeds. 

All editorial rights of published pieces belong to Allwork.Space.   

Editorial Guidelines  

Please ensure your content follows the guidelines below before you submit your article to Allwork.Space. If your article does not meet our guidelines and style, it will not be considered. We’re unable to give specific feedback about why a submission may not have been selected for publication if this guidance isn’t followed. 

  • We like clean, concise, no frills copy. If a topic warrants 1,500 words, go for it; if it only warrants 500 words, that’s more than enough. 
  • Always use reputable sources, and give direct, clear credit where credit is due (this can include an online link or information regarding where the data comes from). 
  • We use American spelling and grammar; Queen’s English is not used. 
  • We love the Oxford comma. 
  • Our tone of voice is friendly and professional. 
  • Avoid first person references, unless you’re submitting an opinion piece. 
  • Avoid acronyms unless defined early in article and later repeated throughout the copy. 
  • We don’t mind contractions. 
  • If you’re writing about coworking, make sure you know the lingo; people are not coworking users, they’re coworking members. Remember: it’s coworking, not co-working. 
  • We encourage the use of links in articles, but don’t go crazy, and don’t use links for self-promotion unless you have paid for placement of the article (see below). Add links to other Allwork.Space articles when appropriate. You can also link to highly relevant or valuable off-site pieces. 
  • Please submit 3 potential headlines for your piece. 
  • Please include 3 bullet points before the body text that serve as a summary of the highlights of your article. 
  • Include a written our summary for your article (160 characters maximum). 
  • We encourage authors to include visual material for their articles, or suggestions for relevant graphics, but this is not required. Please ensure that you have the necessary permissions/copyright to publish any images included within your article, and include a caption for each. Images must be sent as separate attachments and not within the copy of the article (although you can indicate suggested image placement within the copy). 

Without exceptions, all articles submitted must:  

  • be original and exclusive to Allwork.Space; articles cannot be published elsewhere prior to release on Allwork.Space.  
  • remain exclusive to our site for 21 days after publication, after which time they may be reprinted in part or in full on other sites, with a link back to the original article on Allwork.Space.  
  • include the author’s full name. 
  • be written by a person, not an agency, PR department or marketing agencies (if you wish to have an article authored by an agency or business, please contact [email protected]). 
  • not include affiliate links.* 

Over-the-top self-promotion (of yourself or your company) will prevent us from considering your article to be published on Allwork.Space as a free contribution. If you are looking to promote yourself or your company, we have several paid submission options. Click here for more information.
