Joe Barile has been appointed President and Managing Director of the Instant Group for the Americas.
A highly experienced real estate executive, Joe has more than 25 years’ experience in the industry with senior roles at AIG, Cushman and Wakefield, and Merrill Lynch & Co.
At AIG, he was Chief Administrative Officer of the Americas Property and Casualty business, prior to which he was a Director for Cushmans leading real estate optimization efforts for client groups.
Tim Rodber, CEO of The Instant Group, said: “This is an important strategic hire for Instant. The US market is experiencing rapid growth – with an increase in flexible space of more than 15% last year alone. Appointing someone of Joe’s obvious experience and tremendous knowledge will allow us to capitalize on this market growth and expand our operations in the Americas.”
Joe has been working as a business consultant for Instant over the past six months, providing business advisory services to the Board, CEO and Executive Committee.
In his new role, as President and Managing Director, he will develop the Americas business platform for operations, sales and marketing, consulting and channel partner relationships. The role will also be centered on investment opportunities, joint ventures and commercial partnerships strategies.
“The real estate market is changing, there is no doubt about that,” explained Joe. “Having spent more than 25 years in the sector, it is obvious to me that occupier demands are moving towards agile workspace solutions both in terms of procurement but also how they use office space.
“Instant’s experience of the flexible workspace market and its comprehensive data leaves the company well placed to capitalise on this trend in the Americas. It is very well placed in the region and I look forward to leading its expansion in the coming months and years.”
