The national company was the only Business Center and Coworking space to be represented in the European Workplace Innovation Network Conference, after having been appointed by the European Workplace Innovation Network.
Lisbon, 18th October 2016 – The Avila Spaces received a prestigious invitation from the European Innovation Network at the workplace to be presented as a case study at the European Workplace Innovation Network (Ewin) conference, an initiative of the European Commission.
This event took place on 10th October in Brussels and was attended by the CEO Carlos Gonçalves, who presented the added value and some case studies that justify the success of Avila Spaces in Portugal and benefits of the new work paradigms: virtual offices and coworking.
“The Ewin is a European Commission initiative created with the aim of sharing good practices in the design and management of workspaces and Avila Spaces is honored with this invitation at the highest level,” says Carlos Gonçalves.
The CEO of Avila Spaces recalls that it was the only company representative of the workspaces industry: “We feel this as recognition of the work we have done in recent years, particularly in terms of commitment to innovation in the service of virtual offices, such as the creation the myOffice app, which allows office management from a smartphone. “
The Ewin conference served to disclose the results of four years of study in the area of good working practices and presented a set of companies that stood out within the scope of office innovation, business centers and coworking within the context of the so-called ‘4th Industrial Revolution’.
Avila joined a group of guests from international companies such as Bombardier, Finext, and VINCIT, a Finnish company that was considered “Best Workplace in Europe 2016” by the Great Place to Work Institute. “We are known in Portugal for being an innovator in the coworking space, flexible workspaces and virtual offices and have played an important role for the promotion of these new paradigms in the past five years, not only in Portugal but also abroad. ‘ recalls Teresa Jacinto, Chief Research and Development Officer at Avila.
Avila Spaces has done this through conferences and workshops organized regularly, but also through the book Out of the Office – Love Where You Work, published in 2013 and released internationally last year. These were some of the featured topics in the presentation that the company made during the Ewin Conference.
