  • UK flexible workspace operator Citibase has appointed five new senior members of staff.
  • In the past 12 months alone, Citibase has opened eight new business centres and expanded four more.
  • “It is exciting to see our ambitious growth plans meeting the continued, meteoric rise in demand for flexible offices” – Steve Jude, Citibase CEO.

Flexible office champion Citibase is continuing its rapid expansion with a raft of senior appointments, across a number of departments including client development, operations, commercial development, property services and HR. Their arrivals will bolster the senior ranks at a time when Citibase looks to build on its recent growth.

Jo Murray, who is taking on the new role of Client Development Manager, will be helping to spearhead the expansion of Citibase’s network of flexible officing hubs. This will involve liaising with building owners and commercial agents, from those who have just an empty floor, to those with an entire vacant building. By being appointed with management contracts, Citibase can help turn them into vibrant flexible officing centres packed with SMEs, and generate cash for their owners as a result. Jo has held a number of positions with the company over the past seven years.

Dave Moran, who has been appointed as Head of Operations, will oversee Citibase’s network of office hubs, with a focus on its growth, efficiency and customer service. Overseeing a large, geographically diverse team of area operations managers, Dave will in this new role, ensure Citibase’s rigorous standards are applied to each of its centres, from Aberdeen to Brighton. He brings a strong customer service background to the role having held senior operations roles at Audi UK and Apple.

Sarah-Jane Cross joins Citibase as a Commercial Development Manager. Based in the North West, she will work with a cluster of centres on customer retention and development, strategic planning and revenue generation. Citibase has enjoyed particularly strong success in the North West, with its Manchester Old Trafford centre doubling in size and the recent opening in Salford Quays to accommodate the increasing demand. Sarah-Jane has previously held positions at Regus, Orega and Stonebridge Offices. She is also a BCA (Business Centre Association) ambassador.

Antony Coulam has been promoted to Head of Property Services, where he will take on responsibility for building management across the Citibase network, specifically overseeing repairs and maintenance, procurement and health and safety to deliver safe and cost-efficient services. Antony has previous experience working at Homebase, B&Q and William Hill.

Finally, Sheetal Banggar joins the company as the new HR Manager. Based in the company’s shared services centre in Birmingham, Sheetal will ensure that Citibase’s focus on people is felt across the company. She brings a breadth of HR experience from entrepreneurial and large-scale business partnering roles with B&Q, City Facilities Management and Energy Systems Catapult.

The announcement of these appointments comes after an outstanding period of growth for Citibase, which has opened eight new business centres and expanded four more in the past 12 months to meet the growing appetite for flexible office space.

Steve Jude, Citibase CEO, comments: “It is exciting to see our ambitious growth plans meeting the continued, meteoric rise in demand for flexible offices. We expect yet more openings and expansions throughout the year, and these appointments will be crucial in equipping us for the continued growth we are expecting to see.
