New York-based coworking company and major WeWork rival Knotel had plans for its first ground up sites in Gowanus, but the deal has since fallen through. Now, EcoRise Development has enlisted JLL to market the trio of properties on Union and President Streets.
Knotel had signed a deal to run a commercial project spanning around 150,000 to 300,000 square foot on 473 President Street in 2017. Now, a team at JLL will oversee the sale of the properties.
The rezoning of Gowanus would have been another stamp in Knotel’s New York passport as it continues expand and keep WeWork on its toes.
