Coworking space operator Serendipity Labs will announce it is leasing space in Hartford’s CityPlace I.
The company will take over a portion of the office tower’s 15th floor, as the building moves towards a more laid back image.
Many coworking spaces are havens for startups and small companies, but Serendipity caters to a wider clientele, including large companies.
“Companies are looking for options,” said John Caldwell, president of Boston-based Paradigm Properties, the owner of CityPlace I. “They’re growing fast, they’re shrinking fast, they’re changing fast, moving around and they want their lease terms to do that with them.”
John Arenas, Serendipity’s founder, said that the company is making a big presence in major and secondary cities.
Paradigm has recently start renovating the 38-story office story, trading in its prim interior with a  more modern, hip atmosphere in order to attract millennial workers.
