WeWork has announced it has signed a lease to take up 54,700 square feet of space across three Manhattan locations as it continues expanding in the area.
The spaces will be in Midtown, the Financial District, and Gramercy Park neighborhoods and will be used for its Headquarters by WeWork branch. Granit Gjonbalaj, WeWork’s chief real estate development officer, said that the new spaces intend to help the company meet the demand of medium-sized companies across Manhattan.
Headquarters allows member firms to set up customized, private offices with their own branding.
The Financial District location takes up 17,350 square feet on the 22nd through 24th floors of a 24-story building on Wall Street.
Currently, the coworking firm is Manhattan’s largest leaser of office space and is showing no signs of slowing down. Just last week, it signed about 45,000 square feet of space at 1410 Broadway.
