Female-oriented coworking operator and social club The Wing has expanded its Flatiron location in New York City.
The expansion took the 3,500 square foot space to 7,000 square feet and added the 11th floor to its existing 12th-floor space following a $75 million funding round led by Airbnb, WeWork, and Sequoia. The new space includes grab-and-go food options, and phone booths, conference rooms.
The two-year-old firm has also recently added a new in-house design team to upgrade the brandโs style and perfect its women-geared workspaces.
โWe got feedback from our members on what they were using in our spaces, what they were asking for,โ said the companyโs designer Laetitia Gorra. โWe created a lot more coworking tables, a private conference room that we didnโt have before, seats that were ergonomic. We actually custom-designed a lot of our furniture.โ
