San Diego-based coworking company CommonGrounds has announced a new deal to take up 62,000 square feet of office space on Market Street in Philadelphia’s Center City. The firm will also run a regional headquarters out of the location.
CommonGrounds has been expanding following its $100 million series A funding round, with six new leases signed since January. Currently, the operator has locations across the entire country with plans to expand into Washington D.C., Atlanta, and Seattle in 2020.
At the time of the announcement, CommonGrounds’ new location would be the largest coworking space in Philadelphia. The Market Street area is filled with numerous competitors, such as WeWork, Industrious, The Yard, and many others.
