Additionally, the program will address voting rights and reproductive justice issues.
The program will kick off with Mayor Pete Buttigieg in Seattle, the event is sold out and will be closed to the press. The Riveter also has plans to invite Senators Kamala Harris and Kirsten Gillibrand. Gillibrand is scheduled to speak at The Riveter’s Los Angeles location on August 28th and in Austin on September 26th.
Speaking about The Riveter 2020: We Decide, CEO Amy Nelson stated that “while we are not endorsing a specific candidate, we are proud to invite every presidential candidate who supports women and equity to The Riveter to engage them on key issues that affect us.”
