WeWork will lease a 21-story building in Singapore that is currently being leased to banking and financial services company HSBC.
The tower will mark WeWork’s largest property in the country, with about 200,000 square feet.
The seven-year lease is expected to begin in Q2 of 2020 and will be leased from CapitaLand Commercial Trust (CCT).
WeWork will take up 20 of the 21 floors, but has not revealed what the last floor will be utilized for.
If WeWork receives signage rights for the building, it would boost its branding in the central business district, according to Christine Li, head of Singapore and Southeast Asia research at property services firm Cushman and Wakefield.
