The Lunch Club 215 is a Philadelphia-based six-month-old social group dedicated to the blossoming digital nomad population.
On top of attending happy hours and lunches together, every month, the group meets in a different spots for coworking. Workers from all corners of the workforce, from events managers to graphic designers, come together to have a sense of community and be productive.
The group communicates through Slack to keep everyone connected, meeting at bars as well as actual coworking spaces such as WeWork.
“We focus so much of our social energy on nights and weekends,” said Liz Borchert, one of the group’s co-founders. “But we can also have full, healthy experiences during the work day when you’re working on something you’re passionate about.”
A one-day partnership with WEach Seats, a startup that connects digital nomads in need of affordable workspace with restaurants looking to fill unused tables, connects the group to workspaces, like Black Sheep Pub. In the future, WEach Seats will have an app with details of each of its spaces, including ordering food, Wi-Fi passwords, and private spaces to take a phone call.
