IWG will launch its Spaces brand in Malaysia for the first time this September. The coworking space will be located at the Platinum Sentral Kuala Lumpur.
The 5,516 square meter space will the the largest IWG office in Malaysia and will be home to 1,128 desks. According to Brunei Vijayakumar, Country Head of IWG Malaysia, this location is already at about 80% occupancy.
Vijayakumar said that Spaces will continue expanding across the country, with another location on Beach Street, Penang expected to open in October.
“We are in discussions to have another two or three more Spaces to come. There will be many more next year,” said Vijayakumar. “Spaces always looks for high traffic places and quality buildings, as we need membership and people who have purchasing power.”
