Houston-based coworking company WorkLodge has announced its second annual ‘Office Giveaway’ that provides nonprofits a chance to win free office space for a year.
The giveaway is part of a weeklong philanthropic event, coined Gabriel Week, that allows local nonprofits to network with others.
“Our goal has always been to inspire, encourage and ignite our community of entrepreneurs to think beyond themselves for the greater good of those around us,” said Mike Thakur, founder of WorkLodge.
Gabriel Week, which received its name after the company’s nonprofit partner The Gabriel Foundation, aims to highlight those who are often overlooked in society.
The IGNITE by WorkLodge competition is open to organizations with ten or less full-time employees. Once a group has applied, the chosen non-profits will be featured on social media where they will be voted on by WorkLodge members and the rest of the community. Then, finalists will pitch why their organization would benefit from a workspace to a panel.
