United Spaces, a Castellum-owned coworking operator, has signed a deal with Chinese automobile manufacturer and mobility services provider Zhejiang Geely Holding Group, also known as Geely.
The partnership will give United Spaces responsibility to develop a coworking environment at a new Geely-invested facility called the Geely Innovation Centre in Gothenburg, Sweden.
The innovation center will feature 3,500 high-end workspaces in hopes of creating a campus that represents all of its operations. The working area will take up 4,000 square meters that accommodates around 500 to 600 people and is expected to be up and running by 2021. The entire centre is expected to be completed by 2022, spanning 104,000 square meters across five buildings that will feature cafes, restaurants, retail stores, hotels and more.
“We’re very proud that Geely has placed confidence in our ability to sustain our part in creating the Geely Innovation Centre in Europe,” said Yvonne Sörensen Björud, CEO of United Spaces. “We share the same vision, which is to create a flexible and dynamic work-and-meeting space that is sustainable and inspiring, while promoting cooperation and creativity.”
