India coworking operator Smartworks Coworking has raised $25 million from Keppel Land Mumbai in a Series A funding round. The operator plans to use the investment to expand its presence in India.
The investment marks a new endeavor for the Singapore-based company Keppel Land.
“This investment allows Keppel Land to enter one of the world’s fastest-growing flexible office markets, opening doors for further growth through this collaboration,” said Tan Swee Yiow, CEO of Keppel Land.
Smartworks was founded by Neetish Sarda and Harsh Binani in April 2016 and currently has 23 centers spanning 2.3 million square feet across nine major cities in India including Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai and Pune.
