Kuala Lumpur-based coworking operator Common Ground is looking to open a new location in Johor Bharu next year.
According to the company’s CEO Juhn Teo, Common Ground is currently in talks with a landlord in Johor for the new space.
“We have received several inquiries from our members for a coworking space in Johor Bharu and I believe it is a positive venture for us to have a footprint in Johor,” said Teo.
According to Teo, the coworking market is expected to continue growing in Malaysia thanks to small companies who greatly benefit from short-term, convenient workspaces.
Now, even large corporations are becoming a big portion of coworking consumers. In fact, Teo explained that multinational corporations have taken up 40% of its coworking spaces in Kuala Lumpur and expects more in the next year.
