Malaysia coworking space provider LinDees opened its doors in order to cater to working parents. Located in Hartamas, the facility sees nearly 300 people on busy days.
Founders Mien Dee and Nurlin started the space when they struggled to find a child-friendly work facility to help them balance their mother duties. They hoped to bridge the gap between a comfortable working area and a space for healthy child play.
“The location we found provided us with the space we needed, a fantastic view and the ability to design and develop a concept that we believed in,” said Nurlin. “We provide facilities for parents to be able to work comfortably upstairs while having the full view of the playland to keep an eye on their kids if they need to as well.”
The Kerjasama Deck is designed to give parents a bird’s eye view of their kids playing on the lower deck of the play area.
LinDees also offers traditional coworking amenities such as private pods, hot desks, meeting rooms, but goes further to support mothers by offering a section for storing baby milk and private breastfeeding rooms.
There are a variety of rooms for specific activities that kids can enjoy such as sports, water sensory play, obstacle playgrounds, arts and crafts and more. Newborns can be dropped off at the Manja Nest, which is designated for infants.
Children are required to wear a tag with the information of their guardian/parents that has to be scanned upon entry and exit of the facility to ensure security.
