Hotels have long sold day rooms for people needing a place to lay their heads for a night. Now, Hyatt is taking a different marketing route by listing day rooms as offices.
For instance, Hyatt House Salt Lake City Downtown has listings for a “Day Use Office” with rates starting at $59 that provide users access to wifi from 8 am to 5 pm.
The hotel office trend is not too far fetched and helps hospitality companies fill in a financial gap many are facing in the midst of the coronavirus.
As many people are being forced to work from home, being able to concentrate in a clean private “office” without home-related distractions is ideal. Still, the risk of being in a place that has not been properly cleaned is disconcerting.
Regardless, one the era of COVID-19 is over, hotel offices could very well fit into the alternative office trend that has gained traction over the past few years.
