The Instant Group, the agile workspace solutions’ specialist, has completed managed workspace deals in Bristol and Liverpool for BT, as part of their UK-wide regional hub strategy and workplace transformation programme.
Located in the Plaza building in the heart of Liverpool’s city centre, the 39,688 sq ft office has been designed with employee health and wellbeing in mind. It includes traditional desk settings, quiet rooms, stand up meeting spaces, informal meeting areas, and areas for multiple uses including collaborative working, private meetings, relaxation and socialising.
The project was delivered during the height of the recent pandemic meaning that the space was adapted to operate in a Covid-safe environment.
While BT awaits completion of a brand new 200,000 sq ft facility in Bristol, the business needed a high-quality interim office solution to accommodate the firm’s existing team, whilst also attracting new talent. Working with Instant, BT was able to secure a prime site to accommodate its needs.
The Bristol workspace has been delivered in a two-part phased occupancy over five months. This includes an initial 24,000 sq ft workspace for 260 people, followed by an additional 9,000 sq ft delivered after two months providing a second workspace for 90+ people including collaboration space.
Both spaces deliver a transformational style of workplace for the BT team which supports the roll out of its Better Workplace across the UK.
Instant delivered high-end customer service throughout both projects and will continue to work with BT to provide ongoing operations management throughout the term.
John Duckworth, UK and EMEA MD of The Instant Group, said: “We worked closely with BT to understand the needs of the business at this time. We were thrilled to be able to find and secure two properties in Bristol and Liverpool and then deliver during the Covid pandemic inspiring and cutting-edge workspaces, tailored to meet BT’s long-term workplace strategy.”
Neil Edmond, Workplace Director, BT, said: “Instant were able to quickly drill down into our business to identify our exact requirements. Working with limited options in the market for the required size and location and within a tight timeframe, they delivered a perfect phased workspace solution which will allow us to retain top quality staff whilst continuing to attract new talent which is imperative as we wait for our new home to be finished.”
