Los Angeles-based coliving firm Eddy is expanding its presence with a third location in East Hollywood on North Harvard Boulevard.
Currently, the company has two other locations in Hollywood, one on La Brea Avenue and the other in Beachwood Canyon.
The company provides more affordable living arrangements for students and recent Los Angeles transplants, with month-to-month leases starting at $700 for a shared room and $1,300 for a private room.
Eddy’s properties are all move-in ready and offer Wi-Fi, housekeeping services, utilities and access to various amenities such as a gym and recording studio.
The new location will feature 40 bedrooms, bathrooms, a fitness center, a soundproof recording studio, kitchens and communal spaces to nurture a sense of community.
It will open before the start of the 2021-2022 academic year as it focuses on supporting students who may be dealing with hybrid arrangements at school.
“We see the future of higher education as more digital, remote and on-demand,” said Leeor Maciborski, cofounder of Eddy. “However, that structure misses one of the most important parts of college — the social experience.”
