Software provider essensys is using its most recent funding to expand its presence in Asia and the U.S.
The company raised $46 million in primary share placement, and wants to use some of the funds towards doubling its U.S. workforce in the coming year.
Demand for flexible workspaces has grown in recent months as companies look to pivot to a hybrid work model that combines both the office and remote working arrangements.
According to Jeremy Bernard, CEO of essensys, companies signing leases with flexible offices want them to be equipped with seamless access, modern technology and data wherever their employees work from.
“This is an employee-driven marketplace right now,” said Bernard. “The name of the game is, how do you attract and retain the top talent? If you can’t offer a hybrid structure to your employees, they’re just going to go to [another employer].”
