Industrious has hired Liz Simon to serve as its new chief operating officer (COO).
Simon, who is the co-COO for tech-centric education school General Assembly, will oversee the company’s legal department, cross-functional operations, and “people function.”
Simon will also be in charge of Industrious’ efforts for its future initial public offering, which will reportedly be later this year or early next year.
Additionally, Simon will help Industrious with its international expansion plans. At the moment, the flexible office operator has locations in the UK and one new outpost expected to open in Singapore.
While Industrious has focused on growing its domestic presence since its founding in 2012, the company believes it is now time to invest and grow in Europe and Asia.
