Hospitality brand Selina has announced a slew of new locations around the world as it works to support the growing number of digital nomads.
The firm announced that it opened eight new locations in Greece, Australia, Portugal, Panama, Morocco, Israel and the U.S. during the second quarter of 2022, while also signing deals for eight additional properties in other areas of the world.
This most recent expansion brings Selina’s portfolio to 163 locations across 25 countries and six continents.
This 17% increase in its presence not only marks a big step for Selina itself, but marks a major emergence in the population of digital nomads. With businesses embracing hybrid work arrangements more than ever, the need for digital nomad-supported communities has grown tenfold.
“We are excited to continue Selina’s expansion across six continents, enabling us to further immerse our brand’s programming, events, recreation, restaurants and nightlife into the fabric of local communities with destinations that are authentic and relevant to locals and travelers alike,” Rafael Museri.
“In doing so, we are able to create value for local real estate owners, jobs for local residents and dynamic, engaging travel experiences for our loyal network of adventure seekers, remote workers, and digital nomads.”
