The Coworking Creators Lab has officially relaunched, positioning itself as the hub for community-focused coworking spaces to learn, grow, experiment, and lead together.
Built on the belief that the best coworking spaces are coworking communities, the Coworking Creators Lab provides training, peer collaboration, and leadership development for operators and community managers who are shaping the future of coworking through connection, belonging, and local impact.
“Somewhere along the way, the word coworking started to lose its meaning. It became shorthand for flexible office space; for desks and hospitality; for proximity without connection,” said founder Cat Johnson. “And while the flexspace industry is an important part of the evolution of work, working near other people is not coworking.”
The Coworking Creators Lab exists to help community-focused spaces strengthen their voice, clarify their message, lead with intention in their local communities and across the industry, and create the future of coworking.
A Hub for Learning, Experimentation, and Leadership
The Coworking Creators Lab supports members through a combination of practical training and peer-driven collaboration, including:
-
Content strategy and storytelling to help spaces clearly communicate their values, impact, and purpose
-
Community building frameworks rooted in connection, participation, and belonging
-
Opportunities to experiment, share, and learn together, rather than working in isolation
-
Leadership development and visibility, empowering operators and community managers to step forward as industry leaders
The Lab is designed for community-focused coworking spaces that believe community is not a “nice-to-have,” but core to the coworking experience.
Meeting a Cultural Moment
As people increasingly seek meaningful, in-person connection and experience-driven work environments, community-focused coworking spaces are uniquely positioned to lead. The Coworking Creators Lab provides a shared home for these spaces to align, collaborate, and shape what coworking becomes next.
“This relaunch is about bringing together the people who already know coworking can be transformational and are doing the good work,” Johnson added. “When community-focused spaces learn and lead together, their collective impact grows exponentially.”
