Cambridge, UK, 20 January, 2026: Mantle Space, the largest flexible workspace operator in Cambridge with eight sites across the East of England, today announces the appointment of Alexandra Livesey into a new managing director position. Livesey, a highly experienced industry leader, will head up the company in a fractional role.
Livesey will report into Guy Baker, CEO and founder of Mantle Space, and will spearhead operations leading an overall team of 45. She will focus on delivering operational excellence and helping achieve business growth as part of the company’s ambitions.
Known for its strong team, excellent customer care and responsive service, Mantle Space fosters long-term relationships with all of its members and promotes a sense of community across all locations. A financially stable and forward‑thinking organisation, Mantle Space was recognised as a Great Place to Work in 2025.
An industry innovator, Livesey most recently sat at the helm of international flexible workspace, Clockwise, for five years, where she oversaw consistent growth across the UK as COO. Having spent more than two decades in hospitality before that, she was also behind the successful 2025 launch of Brama Hotels – a luxury, boutique hotel brand.
She co-founded growth consultancy Little Red Donkey in 2018, focusing on helping brands scale across the UK and Europe through operational strategy advice and deployment of operational excellence. Livesey is also an active speaker on hospitality, flex office solutions and commercial real estate across the globe, as well as mentoring within the industry and was formerly board director of FlexSA.
“From our first meeting, I knew Alexandra had the drive, expertise and passion to lead Mantle Space through its next phase,” commented Baker. “She quickly understood our vision and recognised our emphasis on building long-term communities – both within our membership and in our own team. With some new developments already in the pipeline, 2026 is shaping up to be a pivotal year for the business!”
Livesey added: “Alignment of vision, energy and passion for the industry and its people is very important to me. I’ve found this in abundance when meeting first with Guy and then the entire senior leadership team. Mantle Space is a strong and thriving business that has an exciting future ahead – to be part of the journey and growth going forward is really exciting.”
Mantle Space recently expanded its 95 Regent Street presence in Cambridge, taking it to more than 22,000 sq ft. The company also operates The Bradfield Centre on behalf of Trinity College Cambridge, a landmark innovation hub at the Cambridge Science Park accelerating science and technology ventures and supporting over 100 companies and more than 600 members.
Since opening its first centre at Stansted in 2007, Mantle Space has grown to operate eight centres in the South East. The company has become a hub for community and charitable engagement and regularly hosts events such as the Go Meet Cambridge networking series. Its ambition remains strong, with plans to further invest in the city’s innovation corridor and support its dynamic mix of startups, scaleups, and established enterprises.
