FlexJobs Releases 2026 Digital Nomad Guide to Work-From-Anywhere Jobs

Leading companies and careers for digital nomads as “workcation” trend rises

Guaynabo, PR, June 4, 2026 – As trends like workcations and digital nomadism continue to shape how professionals approach work and travel, FlexJobs has released the 2026 Digital Nomad Guide covering the top companies, career categories, and job titles for work-from-anywhere jobs this summer.

In a recent FlexJobs survey, over a third (36%) of U.S. respondents said they would move to a new city, state, or country if they had a work-from-anywhere job, with an additional 17% saying they would frequently travel as a digital nomad. The findings reflect the continued demand for fully remote work flexibility and travel-focused lifestyles.

FlexJobs defines a “digital nomad” as any professional who has the ability to work remotely from various locations around the world and is not tied to a specific city, state, or country.

To compile the 2026 report, FlexJobs analyzed its database of more than 60,000 companies and determined the employers with the highest volume of work-from-anywhere job postings between January 1 and May 31, 2026, that met the following criteria:
  • Follows “work-from-anywhere” arrangement with zero location restrictions
  • Offers a fully remote job that does not require any time in the office
  • Includes a full or part-time schedule

Top 10 Work-From-Anywhere Career Fields

The top 10 career categories that posted the most work-from-anywhere jobs during the same period included:

  1. Computer & IT
  2. Project Management
  3. Communications
  4. Product
  5. Marketing
  6. Sales
  7. Engineering
  8. Business Development
  9. Education
  10. Accounting & Finance

Following previous years, computer and IT, specifically careers in software development, and project management, remained the top industries for work-from-anywhere jobs. Notably, communications and product grew enough to outrank marketing throughout the first half of 2026.

Sales experienced 7% growth year over year, while engineering, education, business development, and accounting and finance remained steady in fully remote, work-from-anywhere job openings.

Top 10 Companies for Work-From-Anywhere Jobs

Ordered from highest to lowest in the volume of work-from-anywhere job listings since the start of 2026, the top 10 companies were:

  1. Wikimedia Foundation
  2. Xapo Bank
  3. Supabase
  4. Railway
  5. Eliassen Group
  6. G2i
  7. Invisible Technologies
  8. Superside
  9. Cloudlinux
  10. Appinio

“The growing popularity of workcations reflects a much bigger shift in how people think about work, productivity, and their quality of life,” said Keith Spencer, Career Expert at FlexJobs. “Today’s professionals are prioritizing greater autonomy, flexibility, and freedom over where they work, but often struggle because work-from-anywhere jobs are so competitive. Because these roles are in such high demand, employers that embrace remote talent strategies are positioning their company to attract and retain top talent long term.”

In-Demand Work-From-Anywhere Jobs

Reflective of the various career categories, the most in-demand work-from-anywhere job titles were:

  1. Customer Success Manager
  2. Executive Assistant
  3. Data Scientist
  4. Software Engineer
  5. Social Media Manager
  6. Operations Manager
  7. Account Manager
  8. Visual Designer
  9. Data Engineer
  10. Product Manager
