New research from SIXT Business, a corporate car rental provider, has ranked the best U.S. cities for a corporate golf day, as U.S. Google search demand for “corporate golf” has surged 205% over the past year.
Analyzing 15 leading business travel destinations in the U.S., SIXT Business evaluated each city across four key metrics: the number of public golf courses per 100,000 residents, average course quality, average weekday green fees, and the share of courses offering corporate facilities, to produce an overall score out of 100.

Scottsdale ranks #1 overall with a score of 74.26, combining the study’s highest average golf course rating (4.8/5) with 100% of courses offering corporate facilities. With 7.7 public golf courses per 100,000 residents, it provides businesses with both quality and choice for client entertainment.
Orlando ranks #2 overall and offers the highest number of public golf courses per 100,000 residents (9.3) in the study. Combined with 87% of courses offering corporate facilities, it stands out as one of the country’s strongest destinations for corporate golf days.
Despite being the biggest business hub in the U.S., New York ranks last (#15) in the study. It records just 0.1 public golf courses per 100,000 residents, the lowest of any city analyzed, and only 57% of courses offer corporate facilities.

Methodology

To identify the 15 cities, SIXT Business used Cvent’s Top Meeting Destinations ranking as the city sample. Cvent’s ranking reflects cities already established as leading business travel hubs, based on actual meeting and event booking activity. Each city was evaluated across four weighted KPIs: public golf courses per 100,000 residents (25%), average Google review rating (25%), average published weekday green fee for an 18-hole non-member round (25%), and the percentage of golf courses offering corporate facilities (25%). Public golf courses were identified within a 30-minute drive-time of each city centre using OpenStreetMap, with private and members-only courses excluded. Corporate facilities were identified through publicly available information on course websites, including meeting rooms, golf outings, tournament packages and other business-focused amenities. Each KPI was min-max normalised to a 0-100 scale before being combined into an Overall Score. Data correct as of June 22nd 2026.
