Industrious is expanding to Miami’s South Beach area as more operators look to grow in the bustling southern city.
The flexible office company is taking up 40,000 square feet on Lincoln Road, where it will operate the entire office component of the five-story building. Industrious will manage four floors that will accommodate up to 200 workers when the space opens in July.
According to Nancy Cibrano, asset manager for the building’s landlord Wings Group, other flexible office operators were interested in the space. However, it was Industrious’ “proven success record in being the highest-rated flexible workspace provider” that allowed it to emerge triumphant.
Part of the success Industrious has seen comes from its management partnership agreements, where the firm works alongside landlords to operate the space, reducing the risk for all parties involved.
In comparison, most flexible office firms simply sign a long-term lease with landlords, then sublease the space out to on a shorter-term basis.
The new Miami location is Industrious’ seventh in Florida, and the company has two more in the area slated to open in the future.
