IWG has announced that it will expand its footprint by 1,000 locations this year, focusing on servicing suburban areas as more companies shift to hybrid work models.
The office operator hopes that by adding these new locations worldwide, businesses can better support workers who are splitting their time between the office and home.
“The shift from fixed workspace to flex is now irreversible and the business will continue to accelerate its growth adding a thousand locations in the next year alone,” said Mark Dixon, CEO of IWG.
Currently, IWG’s Spaces and Regus brands are located in 3,500 buildings across 120 countries.
This news follows the company’s announcement that it will merge digital assets with flexible office marketplace The Instant Group, creating “the world’s largest independent marketplace for flexible workspace.”
