WeWork is attempting to reenter the technology game with a new software product.
In partnership with real estate software firm Yardi Systems, the new product called WeWork Workplace hopes to help businesses manage their staff and workspaces
Currently, Yardi offers tools that help building owners and asset managers operate and oversee their properties.
Using this tool, employers can manage their offices in a similar fashion to how WeWork operates their coworking spaces.
From conference room bookings, desk usage, and space analysis, WeWork Workplace aims to provide users better insight into how their offices are being utilized. By offering this product, WeWork hopes to tap into a customer base outside of WeWork members.
WeWork Workplace is anticipated to launch this summer, with an official announcement expected today.
Previously, cofounder and former CEO Adam Neumann made his own attempts at turning WeWork into a technology company by offering conference room booking software and other similar endeavors, but many were trimmed following the firm’s failed 2019 IPO.
