While this seems like an updated play on the infamous Clippy, the animated virtual paperclip that aimed to help Microsoft users navigate Office Suite, ChatGPT has the power to completely alter everyday work.
Going beyond helping users outlining a letter, ChatGPT could single-handedly take massive amounts of data and compile an organized Excel sheet, or take natural language prompts and create email templates with a few clicks.
However, despite the potential impact that ChatGPT could have on the workplace, it still has several kinks that need to be ironed out before expanding on a global scale.
For instance, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman said that there are limitations with ChatGPT’s ability to understand the human language, sometimes offering completely inaccurate answers to prompts.
