Serendipity Labs Signs Operating Agreement With The Durst Organization

What’s going on:

Serendipity Labs, an international flexible office space provider, has announced a 10-year contract with The Durst Organization in which it will operate a 41,000 square foot office facility within their 532,000 square foot 205 East 42nd building, which is located just a stone’s throw from Grand Central Terminal. It will open on March 1st.

Why it matters:

Durst sought out an innovative coworking operator to revamp and revitalize the facility through a competitive selection process.

Serendipity Labs’ brand-new workplace will span across the 19th, 20th and 21st penthouse floors of the building.

As for offerings, an exclusive event space with access to a top-level terrace, two work-lounge cafés, and 91 dedicated private offices and team office suites accommodating over 450 desks altogether.

How it’ll impact the future:

Serendipity Labs Chairman and CEO John Arenas said, “Serendipity Labs – Grand Central will serve as a flexible alternative to long-term office leasing for companies that have decided to downsize their fixed real estate commitments and for those that need to support new, hybrid workplace policies offering employees better access to transportation to shorten commutes.”

Serendipity Labs is anticipating booming interest from suburban commuters, business travelers, and NYC locals who desire stimulating on-demand work settings to interact with coworkers, keep in touch with clients, or simply to drop by and concentrate.
