IWG Signs 728 New Flex Locations, Up 47% In 2026

IWG’s expansion accelerated across the U.S., UK, India and Asia Pacific, with the company now operating more than 6,000 locations worldwide.

International Workplace Group (IWG) is accelerating its global expansion, signing 728 new flexible workspace locations during the first half of 2026. The operator, whose brands include Regus and Spaces, increased signings by 47% from the 496 recorded during the same period last year. It also opened 425 locations, compared with 338 in H1 2025.

IWG’s revenue reached $2.4 billion during the first half of the year, an 11% increase from $2.2 billion a year earlier, according to its interim results released August 11, according to Edge Prop.

Most New Locations Require Little Capital

IWG is relying heavily on its managed partnership model to expand. Around 95% of the new locations signed during H1 came through the capital-light model, allowing IWG to grow its branded network without making the same level of investment required for company-owned sites.

Revenue generated across managed and franchised locations increased 36% year over year, while recurring management fees rose 84% to $35 million.

Company-owned locations generated $1.865 billion, up 5% from $1.77 billion.

U.S. Leads New Signings

The U.S. produced the largest number of new deals, with 187 signings during the period. The U.K. followed with 62, India with 45 and China with 42.

Asia Pacific accounted for 164 signings, representing more than one-fifth of IWG’s global total.

The company is also targeting markets outside major business centers, including suburbs, commuter towns and regional cities. IWG estimates that around 1.2 billion white-collar workers globally represent a potential market worth more than $2 trillion.

Wojo Deal Adds 186 More Locations

IWG expanded its network further in July by acquiring French flexible workspace operator Wojo from Bouygues Immobilier and Accor.

The transaction added 186 locations to IWG’s network and established a longer-term relationship with Accor, which could give IWG opportunities to place flexible workspace in additional hotels.

At the end of H1, IWG had 358,000 rooms open globally, with another 257,000 signed and awaiting opening. Once those locations are fully operational and mature, IWG expects them to generate more than $2 billion in annual system-wide revenue.

The company now has more than 6,000 locations worldwide, reflecting the continued push to bring flexible workspace into markets well beyond traditional central business districts.
