Gothamist reported that over 175 small food businesses were displaced by Pilotworks’ unceremonious closing. According to the report members “found out about the abrupt closure in an email the company send around Saturday evening, over an hour after staff forced members to leave the Brooklyn facility.” The company’s email stated that Pilotworks was forced to cease operations effective immediately after failing to secure funds.
