Gosia Kramer, CEO of Luxembourg-based coworking firm The Office, took her days from working in a corporate environment in shaping the company’s operations.
“We are all taken by pictures from Amazon, Facebook or Google offices that are like masterpieces, but, of course, those are the companies where innovation is their religion, basically,” said Kramer. “But this can also be transferred to traditional office spaces.”
The Office “Charlotte” is 250 square meters within a former garage and offers private offices, meeting rooms, a cafe, and chill out area.
The Office “City” is the company’s second location near Monterey Park and takes up 1,400 square meters of workspace. It features a boho and industrial design with vertical, moss-laden gardens.
The furniture at this location are typically upcycled and the conference room even maintains its original door in order to preserve the building’s dignity.
Kramer said that beyond The Office’s design, the company aims to adapt to the needs of workers by offering flexible amenities, while still ensuring there is human connection amongst members.
